The Summer Begins …
July has come in Hot & Heavy! Emphasis on “Hot!”. Today and tomorrow with temps over 100* I made the call to remain closed, as many other businesses without good A/C have done as well. I’m still workin’ away, as the time away allowed me to completely clear out the storage unit. My daughter and grandkids got their own apartment again, and though I am going to miss having them around on a regular basis, this is the best thing for them. Cleaning & re-arranging the rooms again, and it’s going to help me continue my process of re-organizing, down-sizing and bringing even more merch into the shoppe as part of my Living Estate Sale. I’ve been enjoying, as well, the customers that have come to me doing this work of their own and either donating or consigning some of their items with me. So many BEAUTIFUL and FUN items have come my way, which means they are available for YOU to purchase.
It’s so funny to see again the photo of the shoppe as I first found it and compare it to what it looks like today. Holy Cow! By putting up a canopy on the side and out front, as well as fixtures wrapping around the building outside, I’ve increased my merchandising space and expanded the holding power beyond what I first thought was going to be possible. I am looking forward to July 13th, the first big Aurora Colony Outdoor Market and seeing the increase in traffic through the shoppe. The addition of Unique Boutique Salon and Trash & Treasures Market in the building behind mine has added more fun to our little lot on the SouthSide of Town. It’s worked out well for Chug Coffee to keep their drive through lines moving and then in the afternoons when they’re closed there’s even more parking spaces for our customers. Teamwork makes the Dream Work!
I have alot to do to improve this website by adding photos and keeping it more up to date with information and special promotions. It’ll happen once I feel like I am done rounding up, placing and re-arranging fixtures. It’s all part of the fun, and believe me, I HAVE been having so much fun. More to come as the summer brings Concerts in the Park, more Outdoor Fairs, Colony Days 35 Year Celebration and so much more. I’ve met some great vendors who want to PopUp in front of my store, and I’ll announce them as they’re finalized on the schedule. Let’s get this party STARTED! (AFTER I cool off a little bit . . . haha
